Sean is a Senior Principal and part of the senior management team at Brelje & Race. He has more than 25 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in the areas of water system master planning, water and wastewater systems design, and construction management. He is an experienced user of various sophisticated software packages for modeling complex water system networks, including H2ONet, WaterCAD and EPANet. Sean has used these programs for master planning and analyzing large and small water systems and recommending improvements for better performance for various local water districts and municipalities. His design expertise encompasses a broad range of projects such as welded steel water storage tanks, potable water booster pumping stations, sewer lift stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities and sewer and water pipeline improvements. Some of his most prominent projects in these areas have included the new Sutter Medical Center’s water wells, water treatment plant, storage facilities, pumping facilities, and sewer lift station; the City of Santa Rosa’s Proctor Heights twin-2.6 MG welded steel water storage tanks and booster pumping facility.
Sean is a long-time resident of Santa Rosa, attending elementary school through high school, followed by the Santa Rosa Junior College. After graduating CSU, Chico with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, he and his wife spent several years working overseas in the United States Peace Corps before returning to Santa Rosa. Outside of work, Sean is a wanna-be ‘car guy’ spending many hours tinkering on old British sports cars, but rarely driving them. An avid astronomer, bird-watcher, fly-fisher and hiker, Sean ideally combines all his hobbies for those rare, but perfect weekends.
