David Long is past President of the firm. Joining the firm in 1994, David was a Senior Principal from 2002 until his partial retirement in 2021 and move to Senior Project Advisor. David divides his responsibilities among several key business areas, including engineering services to public and private sector clients in the water, wastewater, and recycled water arenas; winery/vineyard site development; and winery wastewater treatment systems. His project experience includes water source development and water rights procurement, potable water treatment plants up to 1.0 mgd, embankment dams impounding up to 100 MG, welded steel water storage tanks up to 3 MG capacity, pumping stations up to 2,500 gpm, municipal underground utility replacements, site development for wineries and vineyards, and high-strength process wastewater treatment facilities.
David’s prior professional endeavors include winemaking, mechanical engineering, and construction management, all of which strengthen his innovative approach to projects. When not at work, David enjoys road biking, skiing, and landscaping projects at his home in Santa Rosa. He is an avid petanque player and welcomes all challengers to a game on his home court.
