Transitions in Leadership

Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers announces transitions in top leadership and management positions, including the appointment of a new president, succession plan of the past president, and addition of a new shareholder.

David Long was named as President of Brelje & Race, succeeding John Locey. David is a 25-year firm veteran and Senior Principal since 2002. In addition to his leadership role, David divides his responsibilities among several key business areas, including engineering services to public and private sector clients in the water, wastewater and recycled water arenas; winery/vineyard site development; and winery wastewater treatment systems.

John (Jack) Locey has stepped down as President, a position he has held since 2005. He will remain in the capacity of Senior Principal, continuing to foster the shared success of the firm and its clients. During his 40-year career with Brelje & Race, Jack has made significant impacts through strong project leadership, employee mentorship, and longstanding client relationships, including small utility districts in Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties.

Brent Beazor has joined the management group with a promotion to Associate Principal. Brent has over 22 years with Brelje & Race and serves as project manager for many public works projects with specific focus on rural community water systems.
