Brent Beazor has been appointed President of Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers. A member of the team since 1997, Brent joined the firm’s executive team in 2019. Brent succeeds Paul Bartholow as President and assumes executive oversight of the firm’s site development and land surveying divisions. Brent also leads a portfolio of utility infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on improving rural water systems. Brent holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UC Davis and has been a licensed professional civil engineer since 2000. He has long been an active contributor to Sonoma County’s civil engineering community and is a past president of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) North Coast Chapter. “I’m proud to lead Brelje & Race’s talented team into the firm’s next chapter, building on our strong foundation of civil engineering excellence and outstanding client service,” Brent remarked.

Paul Bartholow is stepping down as President after 13 years at the firm, including serving as President since 2021. Paul will continue as a Senior Project Advisor, fostering the success of the firm and sustaining client relationships as he transitions towards retirement. “I’m immensely proud of Brelje & Race’s accomplishments over the last four years and grateful for the opportunity to lead this great company,” said Paul. “I have the utmost confidence in Brent and the whole team in their ability to continue our success.”

Two staff engineers have been appointed Associates, joining the firm’s ownership group: Sophia Grubb and Andrew Ferrol. Sophia specializes in planning, design, operations support, and regulatory compliance for water and wastewater systems. She holds a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley and a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Davis. Andrew focuses on utility design and stormwater compliance for site development projects. He holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Davis and is a certified Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Developer. Both began their respective careers with Brelje & Race in 2014 and are licensed professional civil engineers in California.
